Esteemed BATIZ Family;
Many of you remember me from calls I made researching our roots in Puerto Rico, or have heard of me and my genealogical research.
Today, I continue investigating how the Batiz family first same to the island and the creation of our family tree. Until now, I have found that Miguel Batiz and his wife Juana Maria Oliveras had 6 children, including Miguel and Antonio Batiz, whom we have all descended from.
I have separated Miguel and Juana’s children below to make it easier to find yourselves and see where you are in our family tree. Each page will have interesting supporting documents I have found in my research.

NOTE: There are times when I write the surname as ”BATIS”. This is because it appears this way in some archives and there are several people in Ponce who spell it this way although we are the same family

Estimada Familia BATIZ;
Algunos de ustedes recuerdan mis llamadas en busqueda de nuestras raices en Puerto Rico, o han oido hablar de mis estudios genealogicos.
Hoy dia sigo investigando como fue que llegaron los Batiz a la isla y realizando nuestro arbol familiar. Hasta ahora, he descubierto que Miguel Batiz y su esposa, Juana Maria Oliveras, tuvieron 6 hijos, incluyendo los dos hermanos Miguel y Antonio Batiz. De estos dos descendemos todos nosotros.
He separado los hijos de Miguel y Juana, mas abajo de esta pagina, para hacerles mas facil encontrarse y ver donde estan en nuestro arbol familiar. En cada pagina apareceran copias de documentos interesantes que ha encontrado en mis estudios.
Impriman y escudriñen la lista y dejenme saber si hay que añadir información donde falte por email.

Noten que hay veces que escribo el apellido “BATIS”. Esto es porque el apellido aparece asi en varios archivos, y hay algunas personas en Ponce con el nombre esrito haci, aunque somos la misma familia.
